AGES 31 +
-
In our competition, AMATEUR dancers are considered to be those who have not won podiums in local, national or international solo competitions, and/or are just starting to compete.
-
Only 36 participants in total will be accepted in the entire AMATEUR level and there must be at least 5 participants per age range to open that age category and with a maximum of 12 participants per category, otherwise they will be rearranged in the next age category. There must be a minimum of 20 dancers in the entire AMATEUR level, otherwise they will be added to the advanced level, making them both general age categories, no longer AMATEUR.
-
Dancers are provided with their personal entry ticket to the event as an audience member for the day they compete, which is solely and exclusively for the use of the dancer and cannot be transferred to another person as an audience member.
-
On this occasion the AMATEUR dancers must be registered by their teacher or group leader who must attest that this is the correct level of their student. All communication will then be done with the teacher in charge of an amateur dancer who is a beginner in competitions or who does not have the experience of having won a podium.
-
If you are an independent, please register in the ADVANCED level. If you are a winner and it is proven that you are not amateur level, you will be disqualified.

The first place in each age category, within the amateur level, receives a Tahitian pareo, a 120 ml monoi'i of the Tiki Tahiti brand, and a winner's diploma.
-
The prize for the OVERALL at this level will be $5,000.00 MXN in cash, an exclusive design trophy, and a costume specially designed by one of the best costume designers in GDL.
